TOK

The plastic bearing brand TOK has its origins in Yoshikawa Seisakusho, established in 1938 in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo. In 1956, the company began manufacturing and selling automotive components, and in 1965, it started producing plastic bearings. In 1972, the company officially changed its name to TOK Bearing Co., Ltd.

In subsequent years, TOK established branches in Osaka, Yamanashi Prefecture, and Nagoya in 1995 and 1996. In 2002 and 2004, TOK also set up factories in Shanghai and Shenzhen, respectively. In 2014 and 2015, representative offices were established in Dusseldorf, Germany, and TOK America was founded in California, USA.

TOK's product line includes one-way clutches, bi-directional overrunning clutches, torque limiters, rotary dampers, and plastic ball bearings. TOK claims to have developed the industry's first plastic bearing.

In addition to manufacturing bearings with resin inner and outer races, TOK also offers combinations of steel inner rings and resin outer rings, forming a series of bearings based on tolerance precision requirements.
