The RKB Bearings brand traces its roots back to 1936 when the Colleoni family embarked on an entrepreneurial journey in Switzerland with the aim of providing the industrial sector with high-quality rolling bearings. In the 1960s, as the economy soared, the Colleoni family established relatively modern production capabilities. Since the end of the last century, RKB has responded to the trend of globalization by establishing sales companies and distributor networks in Europe, North and South America, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region, while also establishing a global warehousing and logistics system. The company achieved sales of 460 million euros in 2021, with Europe and non-European markets each accounting for half of the sales.

Although RKB initially started as a niche bearing supplier, it has positioned itself for comprehensive industrial applications in its subsequent development. RKB provides bearing products and services for various industrial applications, including shipbuilding, offshore oil platforms, steelmaking, metal processing, excavators, tunnel boring machines, overhead cranes, power transmission applications, household appliances, and giant wind turbine gearboxes. RKB's product line is extensive, including Deep Groove Ball Bearings (DGBB), Angular Contact Ball Bearings (ACBB), Spherical Roller Bearings (SRB), Cylindrical Roller Bearings (CRB), and Tapered Roller Bearings (TRB). It also includes multi-row ball bearings, tapered bearings, and cylindrical bearings. RKB's market positioning is as an "alternative power" in the bearing industry, meaning it offers an alternative choice to leading bearing brands. To fulfill this role, RKB has invested in bearing technology, design, testing, manufacturing, and quality control, ensuring it possesses the necessary expertise and capabilities.
