FYH

In 1946, the FYH founder, Tamotsu Kobayashi, along with his brothers, established Kobayashi Ironworks named after their surname. In 1950, they started manufacturing ball bearings and changed the company name to Kobayashi Precision Industry Co., Ltd. In 1953, the company began producing and selling ball bearing components and changed its name once again in 1957 to Japanese Ball Bearing Components Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The name "FYH" first appeared in 1982 when the company established its US subsidiary called "FYH BEARING UNITS USA INC." In 2017, the Japanese company was finally renamed "FYH Corporation." Therefore, accurately speaking, FYH is both a bearing brand and a company name.

FYH produces approximately over 700 types of standard bearings and more than 300 types of bearing housings. Through different combinations, they can create thousands of bearing assemblies. They manufacture eight major series of mounted bearing units, including cast iron series, small and lightweight series, stainless steel series, steel plate series, framed series, spherical outer surface bearings, SN bearing housings, and self-aligning roller bearing components. FYH also became the first company in Japan to produce all-ceramic bearings in 1984. Unlike other bearing brands, FYH has a high self-production rate. They produce their own materials and finished products, allowing them to achieve high precision fit between the bearing housing inner diameter and the bearing, ensuring high-quality products. Six major characteristics of FYH mounted bearing units are high load capacity and precision, reasonable self-aligning structure and appropriate fit, high sealing performance, easy grease replenishment, high rigidity and strength of the bearing housing, and easy installation and use.

Aside from production in Japan, FYH established its US subsidiary in 1982, catering to the US and Central-South American markets. In 1993, they established a bearing housing manufacturing base in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province, China, and expanded to produce bearings in 2001. In terms of FYH's global business for mounted bearing units, the Asian market accounts for 45% of the market share, the US market accounts for 25%, and Europe and other markets account for 30%.
