FERSA

Fersa originated from the merger of two Spanish family-owned companies: A&S Bearings, established in the late 1940s, and AJR Tomás, established in the 1950s. In 1968, the two companies merged to form FERDSA, taking the initials of "Special Bearing Manufacturer" in Spanish, and relocated to Zaragoza, which remains the current headquarters of Fersa. The merged company improved its manufacturing processes and invested in advanced equipment and grinding production lines. In 1992, the ownership of the company was transferred to the employees, and in 1993, the company was officially renamed FERSA, taking the initials of "European Bearing Manufacturer" in Spanish.

In the early 21st century, Fersa expanded its product range to include standard ball bearings, clutch bearings, thrust ball bearings, and cylindrical roller bearings. In 2002, Fersa introduced investment funds and embarked on international expansion while further expanding its product line. In 2009, a sales and technical office was established in Brazil, and in 2011 and 2014, manufacturing facilities and logistics centers were established in Jiaxing, China. In 2015, logistics centers were opened in the United States and Brazil. In 2016, a strategic cooperation was formed through equity penetration with Austrian company NKE.

Fersa bearings cover a wide range of applications in passenger cars and commercial vehicles, holding a strong market position in both OEM and aftermarket segments. They particularly excel in applications such as commercial vehicle wheel ends, differentials, and gearboxes. Specific products include maintenance-free wheel end units, tapered roller bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, and ball bearings.

After the strategic cooperation, Fersa, together with NKE, forms the Fersa Group, which has four factories and research centers globally. There is one factory and research center each in Austria and Spain, with the other two located in Jiaxing and Shenyang, China. Additionally, Fersa has seven logistics centers in the United States, Brazil, Austria, Spain, Russia, and China.
